Rey began his performing career when still a young child, putting on puppet shows, magic shows and carnivals in his backyard for the neighborhood kids. Rey began learning Ventriloquism at the age of five after receiving his first Ventriloquist dummy from his parents for Christmas.

Inspired by Ventriloquist, Paul Winchell and his wooden pals Jerry Mahoney and Knucklehead Smiff, Rey began learning not to move his lips by practicing in front of a mirror.

At age eleven, Rey performed at his Elementary School talent show where he caught the attention of a teacher who was in charge of a new reading and tutoring program. She asked Rey if he could develop a skit with his Ventriloquist dummy that could help older students learn how to tutor Second and Third graders in reading.

Rey accepted the challenge and was soon performing his tutoring show for Students at Schools throughout the district. Rey learned more than tutoring skills, he learned that entertainment and education could go hand in hand.

At the age of twelve, Rey began performing professionally at the Disneyland Hotel, Knott's Berry Farm, Busch Gardens and the Bob Hope USO Tours. Since that time, Rey has performed in stage shows in Lake Tahoe, Reno Nevada, Los Angeles and Chicago.

Rey has performed his educational and inspirational assemblies at over 400 Elementary Schools in California since 1998.

Rey designs and builds his own Ventriloquist figures. Each is one of a kind to give his audiences
a totally unique experience.
